Domestic recovery first

Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League after sixth place the previous season. That improvement returned the club to Champions League qualification and supplied a domestic baseline for assessing the international trophies.

The Conference League route

Chelsea navigated the league and knockout stages before beating Real Betis 4-1 in the final. The victory completed the club's set of the principal UEFA men's competitions it had been eligible to enter.

An extended world tournament

The expanded FIFA Club World Cup took place after the domestic season and ended with Chelsea beating Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final. Cole Palmer scored twice and created the third goal.
