Build your Chelsea all-time XI

Set the shape, choose eleven players from across Chelsea’s history, name a captain and share a link that rebuilds your side.

There is no official answer

This is a supporter selection tool, not an editorial ranking. The pool is the archive’s curated set of 26 notable men’s first-team players, chosen to illuminate different eras and roles. Position groups are deliberately broad enough to compare generations without pretending every tactical role was identical.

How selection and sharing work

Your current XI is saved only in this browser. “Share XI” and “Copy link” put the formation, selected player identifiers, captain and team name into the page URL; opening that link recreates the selection. No account is created and the archive does not receive the lineup.

Player names, Chelsea career dates, archive roles and profile links come from the same reviewed records used by the notable-player archive. Last reviewed 2026-10-25. Report a data issue.

The 26-player pool

Players who covered more than one broad area appear in more than one group. This eligibility helps the interface; it is not a claim that roles were interchangeable.
