What the comparison includes
The figures cover Chelsea men’s senior first-team matches in all competitions recorded by the shared manager dataset. Wins, draws and losses use the same scope for every manager. When a manager served more than once, the tool combines those spells but keeps each tenure visible in the result.
Brief interim and caretaker appointments are included when at least one match is recorded. A current appointment with no completed match is omitted because it cannot yet produce a meaningful comparison. Honours are listed as context rather than converted into an artificial score.
How to interpret the result
Win rate is descriptive, not a complete ranking. Managers worked in different divisions, competition formats and financial conditions, inherited squads of unequal strength and served for very different lengths of time. A short unbeaten spell can therefore show a higher percentage than a sustained trophy-winning tenure without being the stronger managerial achievement.
